The blend concept is "make your morning coffee the best cup."

The day should start with the best tasting coffee. To achieve such coffee, we have devised a blend that maximizes aroma and avoids unpleasant acidity. The blend includes "Guatemalan" and "Brazilian" coffees.

Light Roast (medium roast) coffee

Light roast coffee is characterized by being "aromatic" and "refreshing." Light roast coffee requires particularly advanced roasting techniques because it needs careful control of acidity. Our store aims for a light roast that does not have an unpleasant sour taste, and we roast carefully to bring out the maximum "aroma" and "freshness." Among light roasts, Morning Blend leans more towards "richness" in its roast level. If you are looking for more "aroma" and "fruitiness" than Morning Blend, single origin (straight) coffee is recommended. If you need more "richness," please choose from mild roast or dark roast.

Coffee and Books

Coffee is essential for reading. Among our blends, Morning Blend is a blend you can drink any number of cups a day without getting tired of it. Its refreshing taste and light body are pleasant, and the coffee cup is quickly empty. It's the kind of coffee you can drink two, three, or more cups of without even realizing it.

Changes in aroma during the roasting process

From the start of roasting to the end, the aroma of the coffee beans changes moment by moment. There are several critical points of change, and missing these points significantly affects quality. To ensure we don't miss any aromas, we pay close attention to our health, such as avoiding strong-flavored foods (onions, garlic, etc.), and strive for daily quality control as roasters, paying attention to the minimum necessary details.

Quality control

At Base Coffee, we perform quality checks after every roast. Especially during changes of season, reviewing the roasting process is essential due to changes in temperature and humidity. The quality check that allows us to detect these changes is "cupping." By repeatedly performing the painstaking work of noticing subtle changes in taste through daily cupping and feeding that information back into the roasting process, we believe we can deliver consistent quality."
